The first mention of Schillingsborg is a message from 1342, from Hermann von Rechede.
The house was dilapidated in 1765. It was demolished after 1826. It is probably more of a house and cannot be compared with the "Borg Senden" about 150m further away.
In 1978, post holes, remains of pit houses, foundation trenches of wooden buildings and traces of a moat were found in the construction pit for the parish hall south of the Laurentius Church. The associated ceramics date from the 9th - 12th century (Stefan Eismann)
