The route climbs up the valley partly using the site of the former Brembana Valley railway. From 2019 it can be traveled from Almè to Piazza Brembana, except for a short section of about 3 km in the municipality of Zogno. The section between Bergamo and Almè in fact belongs to the Ciclovia dei Colli, which connects the city to the mouth of the valley.
