In Darmstadt, part of the historic city and prison walls on Erich-Ollenhauer-Promenade were reopened on Tuesday. For three years, the Technical University (TU) had it renovated in accordance with historical monuments. Now it has been handed over to the city and its citizens as a "symbolic gift for World Heritage", as the TU announced.
