The Roman Catholic Church is dedicated to Saint Michael. The neo-Gothic church and rectory were built according to a design by Alfred Tepe. The three-aisled basilica in Zuiderhaven was the second of a total of four neo-gothic churches that he built in Friesland. The rectory has a stepped gable. The church from 1881 was inaugurated on 31 May. The church was severely damaged during World War II, but this has been restored. A comprehensive restoration took place between 1985 and 1999. The church is a national monument.
