I read that Richards Bay has the largest harbour in South Africa and I hoped to be able to see it from the inside.
I did not. It has fences around it, as I should have expected.
The part that you can take a walk through is not like this part of town in other big harbours.
There is one big hotel called BON. Access to hotel and beach restricted, as you might expect.
There are a number of Restaurants, Bars, Shisha lounges, most places simple and low-priced. Some with nice terraces right at the waterfront.
I found a Boat Trip Service and would have liked to use it.
Even today on a on Sunday, it was closed: Winter time.

One of the entertaining elements today were the monkeys, again, playing around and looking for food.
On the way back we passed huge industrial areas, with minig, chemical and wood industry plants. Although this creates a lot of Jobs, unemployment rates are high. "Too high", as the taxi driver said.
