The pedestrian and cycle bridge over the Ilmenau at Uelzen's Badue leisure pool is closed for safety reasons. A current review has shown that the load-bearing capacity can no longer be guaranteed. Due to its dilapidated condition, the bridge's stability was checked monthly.

The bridge will remain fully closed until the new construction is completed. This is planned for 2025. The original planning for a new building in 2023 was postponed due to nature conservation requirements.
