The Georgenberg takes its name from Saint George, the patron saint of the former monastery on the mountain. This existed until the middle of the 16th century. Saint George was widely known as a dragon slayer and fought a 🐉 dragon here. Since then, the defeated dragon has had to heat the water in the hole as punishment and thus supply the thermal baths with hot water 😉🤣.
