Best Hiking Routes to Ahornallee (Wartenberger Feldmark)

Tips

  • Former connection between Karow and Gut Wartenberg. Great for running, cycling. Unfortunately, you can only hike on tarred roads, which is a bit of a pity.

  • The area of today's Wartenberger Feldmark was acquired by the city of Berlin in 1883 in order to create sewage fields to purify the wastewater. Parts of the Ahornallee were planted at the same time and survived the removal of the sewage fields and the introduction of industrial agriculture. You are now more than 130 years old. In order to preserve the landscape-defining avenue in the long term, the considerable gaps were replanted in 2002. On both sides of the Ahornallee, new paths were laid and ditches renatured.
