city wall
The city wall was built in the 'raging waters of the Danube' in 1482 as a bulwark against enemy armies.
Today the city wall is a popular promenade path, which leads along the Danube from the Lauseck bastion at the fishermen's and tanners' quarter, past the butcher's tower and the jetty as well as the rose garden to Friedrichsau, the green lung of Ulm.
Cafés and restaurants as well as the view of the Danube and Neu-Ulm invite you to linger in between.
