A few years ago, work began on redesigning this biotope. Additional water holes were created next to the Laaker Bach and the small forest, so that a heath landscape has now emerged. This biotope stretches from the corner of Pannemannstr./Am Laaker Bach (former fitness trail in the 1970s) to Mussumer Ringstr. and runs parallel to the street "Im Egeling". This also serves as a compensation area for the expanded industrial area.
