Hiking

The Black Church is one of the landmarks of the city of Kronstadt and is the parish church of the Evangelical Church A.B. Kronstadt (Honterus community). Its name comes from the great city fire in 1689, which turned the church into a black ruin. Originally it was consecrated as St. Mary's Church, but the name “Black Church”, which has been popular since the fire, became the official name of the building in the 19th century.
