The idyllic Promenadă După Ziduri, the "alley behind the walls," runs along the Graft Stream, which runs alongside the walls and bastions on the northwest side of the medieval fortifications. Formerly part of the city's defenses, the stream was channeled along the fortress walls in the Middle Ages. Its tributary is the Șcheiu River, which rises on the northern slope of the Postăvarul Massif.

The Promenadă După Ziduri, outside and along the old city walls, is one of the most beautiful places for a stroll without the hustle and bustle of Council Square, and certainly the coolest spot in Brașov in summer.

From here, you can also climb to the White Tower (Turnul Alb) and the Black Tower (Turnul Negru), from where you can see Brașov from above.
