The nature reserve "Fintlandsmoor and Dänikhorster Moor" is divided into three parts: the Fintlandsmoor (Fintlandsmoor -West and -East) in the north, the Dänikhorster Moor (Dänikhorster Moor-North and -South) in the south and the grassland areas connecting the two moors.

The raised bog grassland is characterized by species-poor grassland of intensive use and nutrient-poor areas of species-poor extensive grassland. Larger areas are interspersed with lean wet pastures rich in small sedges. The extensive grassland and the lean wet pastures are heavily interspersed with rush.

The protected area is divided by numerous shrub and tree hedges. The Fintlandsmoor and the Dänikhorster Moor are closely functionally connected to one another. By securing and developing grassland areas, ecological exchange and biotope networking are ensured.
