The Luukkaansalmi Bridge in Lappeenranta spans a narrow strait connecting Lake Saimaa to the wider canal system and offers wide views over the water. It’s a key crossing point for cyclists following the Saimaa Canal route and features a pedestrian and cycle path separated from traffic. The bridge is especially scenic at sunrise or sunset, with boats often passing below.

probably the most scenic bridge in South Karelia (with the exception of the Imatrankoski bridge for those brief moments when the rapids are running wild), stinky paper mill on the one side, scenery on the other (fortunately the bike path is on the prettier side as well)
