Hiking
Lappeenranta Fortress is a valuable part of the common cultural heritage of Finns, Russians and Swedes and is part of the Linnasta-linnaa cultural tourism chain. The oldest buildings, such as the main gatekeeper's building, today's Equestrian Museum, today's South Karelian Museum of Art, the Orthodox Church and the Commander's House, date from the last decades of the 18th century. Most of the wooden buildings date from the second half of the 19th century and the brick military barracks from the early 20th century.
