Former Diskus
The Diskus works, founded in 1911 by an engineer who had previously worked for the Naxos Union, specialized in the construction of machines for the then-new surface grinding process. The factory building is characterized by a matter-of-factness that puts the construction in the foreground, to which the monochromatic nature of the discreetly profiled exposed brickwork contributes significantly. Today, the ensemble is used by around 35 small businesses, including the "Orient Palast" restaurant with ballroom.
