The lakeside path, which the locals call the "promenade", is exactly 1 km long. (The actual promenade is the street above this path.)

The promenade is beautifully laid out and is well attended, especially when the weather is nice and on weekends. Of course, you can admire the little mermaid, the water sports enthusiasts, the many grey geese and, above all, the beautiful view over the Dieksee.

At the northern end are the terraces, the boat dock for the 5-lake trip and the lakeside restaurants.
