Bihac presents itself as a rather desolate city with ruins from socialist times and architectural monstrosities from post-socialist times and oversized advertising structures. The historical water mills on the Una islands have also been demolished.
On my tour in 1989! I was able to experience Bihac as a city that still strongly recalled Ottoman times.
