Bihac is a rather unsightly place with ruins from socialist times and construction scams from the time after. I had a completely different memory of Bihac from my first bike ride in 1989. It was a place where the Ottoman era "seemed still alive."
Only a few places allow interesting or beautiful views today.

Bihac presents itself as a rather desolate city with ruins from socialist times and architectural atrocities from post-socialist times and oversized advertising facilities. The historic watermills on the Una Islands were also demolished.
On my tour in 1989! I was able to experience Bihac as a city that is still strongly reminiscent of Ottoman times.
