Teuschnitz is now, however, reinventing itself. In the deep meadow valleys and meadows around the city blooming in addition to about 50 other medicinal herbs and the very rare medicinal herb arnica. It owes the city the nickname "Arnica City".
To impart knowledge, knowledge and skills - these are the aims of the first arnica academy in the Franconian Forest, which was recently created in Teuschnitz. Many new projects for the medicinal plant arnica are already on the rise.
