🍺 Ölschnitzhütte

The idyllic Ölschnitzsee near Steinbach am Wald is a popular destination. The reservoir was created by the district of Kronach between 1984 and 1986. It is up to 270 meters long and 100 meters wide - that makes a total area of 2.1 hectares. The maximum depth of the reservoir is six meters. In summer, visitors can eat in a hut by the lake. A beautiful terrace invites you to linger there. You can enjoy the nature of the Franconian Forest on a circular path around the lake.

You can comfortably ride the pedal boat over the water or refresh yourself while swimming. On the shore, it is easy to relax and sunbathe. On circular routes around the lake you can explore the nature of the Franconian Forest. For a healthy rest also provides a Naturkneippanlage. Even mountain bikers on their tour on the Rennsteig to Kleintettau like break on the beautiful lake.

Since 2009, you can also test your skills at the newly built miniature golf course. In addition, the Ölschnitzsee provides sanitation and changing facilities.
