The stable house was part of a three-sided courtyard.
The builder, Johann Ludwig Heck, set up a small carpentry workshop in the former part of the house.
His son Johannes took over the business and became very well-known as a furniture carpenter. His most valuable pieces can be seen in the Marburg Landgrave Castle!
