This new town hall was built on the site of the former Coswig craftsmen's yard and on the site of the residential building at Hirtenweg 1, which belonged to the Dresden transport company. With the construction of the new town hall in Coswig, the pond gave way to today's car park. The Coswig Citizens' Park was created from the shooting range and the empty site of the former kindergarten.
