    Hiking

Following the principle of the English Garden, the park, only about 130 meters wide, was laid out around 1848, stretching up the slope along the Bärenlohbach stream. After the construction of the Royal Spa House in 1890, the park was extended to its current length of around 800 meters. The stream's course and the ponds created along it shape the park landscape.

    Hiking

Albert Park, laid out in the English style around 1848 by the Weimar court gardener and pupil of Prince Pückler of Muskau, Eduard Petzold, in collaboration with the first bath gardener Friedrich Prohaska, still surrounds the feudal Royal Spa House in the heart of the city.

    Hiking

Today, the historic Albert Park is characterized by its expansive meadows and the typical sightlines of a landscape garden, but above all by the imposing ornamental plantings in front of the Royal Kurhaus. Past tranquil ponds and lakes, such as the Carola pond and the Linden pond, the paths meander through the romantically designed park. Today, you will also find the famous statue of the goddess of health, "Hygea," and an impressive red oak tree, which was planted in honor of the Royal Saxon horticultural inspector Paul Schindel.
