On the “Försterfelsen”, the words “Försterfelsen / Verschönerungsverein 1868 / Founding year” are reminiscent of the active work of the association that transformed the forest slopes of Zschopau and Gottesaubach into a very popular and much-visited park in the 19th century. There was even a small ski jump right next to the Försterfelsen before World War II.
