In 2021, the local government purchased this special 140-year-old castle park to expand it into a green lung close to the village center. On November 26 and 27, 2021, 4,500 young trees were planted by students from Nazareth schools and numerous enthusiastic residents, accompanied by volunteers from Natuurpunt.
The Castle Park was ceremonially opened in all its autumn splendor on November 27, 2021. This 5-hectare forest is still in full development and is managed by Natuurpunt.
