Built in 1882, "The Poem" sits on a rocky outcrop at the end of the valley known as the Dell. It is Grade II listed for architectural interest and has an unusually opulent interior. It was designed by architects WJ Green from London; while the spectacular marble inside was sculpted by Samuel Barfield of Leicester.
