At this location you can use the picnic bench that is set up at the end of the Oude Durme. The Oude Durme is a cut-off meander of the Durme. Until 1914 the Durme meandered from Hamme to Waasmunster. Due to the straightening, the meander is no longer under the influence of ebb and flow. Since then, the Oude Durme has been a quiet area that is very attractive to people and animals. Beautiful plant species come to color and smell this location.
