Very beautiful, long, fine sandy beach with turquoise water, surrounded by rocks and a great picturesque view with a large beach bar. Ideal for swimming. The beach is easy to reach by bike via the main road leading to/from Argostoli.

Makris Gialos Beach is one of the most famous and best-organized beaches on the island. It is located in the resort town of Lassi, just about 3 km from the island's capital, Argostoli. The beach is known for its fine golden sand and crystal-clear, turquoise waters. It is fully organized with beach bars (e.g. Costa Costa), restaurants, lifeguards, showers, and changing rooms.
