Mountain biking

On the Galgenberg, among other things, stands the customs column. At the "customs column", hauliers had to pay road tolls to the authorities when importing goods; it is part of the field name stone path in and around Thiersheim. An information board explains the origin and meaning of the stone.

Hiking

When passing the "customs column" carters had to pay a road toll to the authorities when importing goods. The amount of the fee was based on the list on the adjacent folding rule. The land book of the six offices mentions the road toll as early as 1499.

Hiking

The Galgenberg near Thiersheim is an unwooded 583 meter high hill. As the name suggests, there has been a gallows on the hill since the Middle Ages for the execution of sentences.
