Hiking

Until the beginning of the 20th century there was a bone mill here at the foot of the Mühlenberg. In the past, animal bones were ground to be used as fertilizer. From the beginning of the 20th century this was replaced by phosphate fertilizers, which are produced as a by-product of iron and steel production (the so-called Thomas flour).
