The Hollendetal is an unspoilt, mossy valley in which the Gisonen settled around Hollende Castle around 1000 AD. They were the ancestors of the Treisbachers. The ruins only have a few stones left as foundation walls.
The highlight is the 7-hectare orchid meadow, on which three-leaf orchid blooms in May, spotted orchid in June and marsh orchid in July.
