A great paved rail trail, only negative: the many impossible barriers, dreadful with full luggage.

Cycling
A beautiful, well-maintained former railway line that lets you easily cycle through the car-free landscape between these two cities. A minor drawback is that all intersections have gates you have to navigate. This isn't easy for everyone with luggage, and you might have to dismount frequently.
