The robust Church of Our Lady of Mannekesvere in typical yellow polder clay brick is surrounded by a cemetery and separated from the Brugsesteenweg by a stone wall.It is a three-aisled, neo-Gothic hall church designed in 1922, with an older tower from 1860. The building replaces a medieval place of worship that was destroyed during the First World War, when almost the entire village was wiped off the map.
