It was opened in March 2024, the new casino of Middelkerke is part of the event building Silt (also written as SILT) which includes a casino with a gaming room, foyer, restaurant, terrace and event hall with space for 1,700 people, including an underground parking and a hotel with around 60 rooms. The design served to strengthen the seawall against a thousand-year storm, a qualitative upgrade of the public space by removing car traffic and connecting the seawall to Epernayplein.
