This small bridge over the San Simón river was the place where the Dominican monk Pedro González, San Telmo, stricken with fever, gave up his intention to return to the Monastery of San Domingos de Bonaval, in Santiago to Tui, the city whose patron saint he is where he died. The name of the bridge honors this event of 1246 and connects the place with the pilgrimage route to Compostela. The bridge is a simple construction with a Romanesque round arch.
