Today we go to Xemxija.

Arriving by bus, we are first drawn to the water, with a view over the bay towards the city of St. Paul's Bay, we take a deep breath, reflect on ourselves, despite the beginning of the drizzle, the moment with the play of colors in the water is beautiful for us .

We set off and quickly find the way to Roman Road, the Heritage Trail, it was later part of a pilgrimage route and begin our journey into the past.

The information boards themselves have become a victim of time.

The scent of the plants along the stony path is intense and after a short stretch we find the first buildings that are over 2000 years old.

These were used to extract honey.

Almost crawling on your knees, you go through the small door into the dark.

Inside there were tubes through which honey probably flowed into vessels.
