This chapel, also known as the lime chapel, was built, as An says, by one Theofiel Hermans in 1915. He did this out of gratitude because his three-year-old daughter was healed. And the number "three" is probably also why the chapel is dedicated to the holy Three Sisters, Genoveva of Paris, Bertilia of Maroilles and Eutropia of Reims, who are commemorated on January 3. A few years ago they planned to move the chapel to the back because the lime tree, which you find at almost every chapel, was literally pushing it away. But judging by the condition of the chapel, it is questionable whether this is still the intention. A look inside shows a completely broken roof, a damaged interior and serious cracks.

You will find the chapel on the way from the church to the (new) cemetery and the (old) parsonage.

This chapel is old and dilapidated and is half hidden behind the trunk of an old tree. There is no interior left. At first I couldn't find the name of this chapel anywhere, but I found the following on the website of the Bekkevoort local community: "There was an organized pilgrimage in Assent at the time to the three sisters in Zepperen, Brustem and Rijkel. A day trip that the pious (richer) people did every year. Because many people could not go on this day trip, Theofiel Hermans decided to build a small chapel in Assent so that everyone could go to these three sisters were trampled a little later by his horse."
