In the small green area opposite Berliner Platz, you can find another sculpture: the figure 'Sebastian,' created by Ernst-Reinhart Böhlig in 1983.
Böhlig created a life-size bronze figure resting on a trapezoidal concrete base. Striking features include the distorted facial expression, the gouged-out left eye, and the partially missing limbs, such as both arms and the left lower leg. The body is mutilated in many places, with puncture wounds and cuts visible.
The depiction of the martyr was certainly an allusion to Saint Sebastian, the patron saint of this sculpture, who, according to tradition, was tied to a tree and shot with arrows. Even if the torso was not named 'Saint Sebastian' by its artist, the characteristics of this story are unmistakable.

An impressive sculpture that may refer to the martyr St. Sebastian, but which also allows for further interpretations, see stuttgart.im-bild.org/fotos/skulpturen-plastiken/sebastian
