You can still see it in old photos and on the information boards at the hiking car parks in the Paradiestal: the Parasol, a huge stone mushroom. However, there is no indication of where to find it. An old signpost in the Paradiestal is not very helpful, as it points into the valley and thus completely misses the actual location on the Pfaffenberg (482 m).
The Parasol is a mushroom-shaped, overhanging rock tower about 6 meters high, which lies in the forest above the Paradiestal between Treunitz and Wölkendorf. It is occasionally climbed by boulderers. However, the Parasol is so hidden in the forest that its location is only known to insiders. That is why there has not been a highlight of this rock tower so far. I have tried to record the exact position of the mushroom so that more nature lovers can enjoy the giant mushroom in the future. I hope you enjoy visiting this wonderful natural monument.
