The town hall was built in the 15th century in the Gothic style. It was rebuilt several times, including after the city fires in the 16th and 17th centuries. It gained its current appearance at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, when during renovation it was plastered green and this color remained for 188 years. The town hall is dominated by a slender Gothic-Baroque tower from the mid-16th century, 54 meters high.
