Rothe Furth is a district in the municipality of Kürten in the extreme north-east of the municipality on the border with Wipperfürth. According to the local history association, the word Rothe Furth means clearing at the Furth. The farm is on a small hill on the so-called Bergerhöhe above the Reichenbach, which runs in the valley. In the 1950s, a new apartment building was built on the top left.
