The Christiansminde Stampemølle (Stamming Mill) in Svendborg was built in 1770 by six tanners who found the journey to the Red Mill in Hvidkilde, just a few kilometers away, too long.The mill ceased operations in 1906, but the three-meter-high paddle wheel still turns around the clock, at least when water flows past the mill in the stream. The stamping machine is intact inside, but unfortunately, there is still no access.
