Known locally as the “Isle of Skye” after a long-since closed pub. A long, steady, almost alpine-like climb. Nice views across Dovestones reservoir. There tend to be a lot of parked cars along the road on nice days.

I really great long climb which gradually takes you above Dovestone Reservoir - can be tough, but opportunities to stop regain some energy to make it all the way to the top. the views are incredible also

Known locally, nationally and around the world as "HOLMFIRTH". Even says it on the map opposite.

Great steady climb out of Lancashire . Remember to turn right to Diggle as you descend to Holmfirth. You can then link it to Holme Moss.

A challenging ride, but well worth the effort, also Dovestone's carpark can get full very quick, no such problems on a bike

Really enjoyed this climb... having already done Cragg Vale on the same ride i wouldn't have taken up the suggestion above to link it to Holme Moss. I was very glad to know i was basically descending to home once i reached the top!
