To the east of the Trinity Church lies the historic cemetery with numerous graves of important Hamburg personalities, from cultural and political life, including Amandus Augustus Abendroth, Amalie Sieveking, Karl Sieveking and Johann Hinrich Wichern.
The Sieveking family mausoleum was built by Alexis de Chateauneuf.
Due to its cultural and historical significance, it has been a listed building since 1923.
