The white pebble beach is the reason why the East Frisians call the bathing lake in the Aurich district of Tannenhausen the "Rimini of East Frisia". Thanks to the excellent water quality, the lake is very popular with both locals and holidaymakers. If you want to spend the night in typical East Frisian style close to the lake, you can do so in the holiday home area right by the lake!
