Strobel Promenade (pictures 13-17).

Here in the upper Zschopau valley there was a wood grinding mill (Max Ströbel mill) until 1945. It was used to produce paper and cardboard. The water power was used to drive the machines of the mill, which was built in 1870. For this purpose, a 1500 m long ditch was dug to channel the water from the Zschopau to the factory site. An overflow ensured that the excess water drained away in the form of a waterfall. After extensive construction work, the mill was used as a children's holiday home for the Leipzig coal mining district "Regis". After 1990, the building served as a hotel and guest house until it was closed.

In the summer of 1999, the Strobel promenade was expanded to the viaduct so that it could also be used by wheelchair users. Above the complex is the so-called "Ochsensprung" with a height of 512.6 m. The rock got its name from an incident that is said to have occurred in the middle of the 19th century:
