Bike Touring Highlight
The control room belongs to the Quedlinburg Waiting and Landgraben system and is located on one of the highest points (about 198 meters) of a sandstone elevation train, which is called the Altenburg.
The original vantage point in the form of a five-meter-thick round tower was from the 14th or 15th century. From the weathered remains of the resin club built in 1889 a new tower, which is used after several restorations today as a ten-meter-high pentagonal observation tower with spiral staircase, whose platform can be reached via 51 steps.Source: wikipedia.de
