The black wooden cross in the open meadow landscape is a prominent landmark on the path to Königsmühle. A paved road never led to this lost village. Further up the slope stands a large, bright metal cross marking the Hásky Kopec ridge above the village of Háj.

In the vast landscape across which the hiker passes, it is clearly visible: the wooden cross reaching toward the sky. The location is probably about one to one and a half kilometers from the German-Czech border, which separates Unterwiesenthal from Bohemian Wiesenthal. This small sacred monument is very simply crafted; the body of the crucified Christ is nowhere to be seen, and the wood is painted black, which gives it its name.
