Kirchberghäuschen Bensheim

Very nice wine bar in the midst of the vineyards with a magnificent view over the mountain road, along the mountain road and over the Ried! Unconditional recommendation!

The Kirchberghäuschen is located on the Kirchberg above Bensheim. Around 1840, some citizens of Bensheim were of the opinion that the Kirchberg, which was still undeveloped at the time, should be given a crowning touch. Originally, a magnificent tower was supposed to crown the building, but this was not realized for cost reasons.
On June 2, 1857, the Kirchberghäuschen was inaugurated as a “pleasure house”. It served as an event venue for parties, receptions and social events. Since its completion, it has been one of the most popular excursion destinations for Bensheim residents and one of the city's landmarks.
