The half-timbered house from 1711 on Pötzplatz belongs to Paul Aretz and his family. This old house used to be part of a farm with brewing rights. This is assumed because a crossed pitchfork and a stirring ladle are carved into the old wooden beam above the door. The name of the former owner, John Bruer, also gives a hint of the brewing rights. Where there is brewing, pubs settle, and where there are pubs, there is always a lot going on. In the past, there were up to eleven pubs in the small town, but that was a long time ago.
